Skills get someone hired, but culture decides whether they stay and do their best work. Culture isn’t the office or the perks. It’s how people act when nobody is watching: the habits they form, how they handle pressure, and what they care about getting right.

To set the standard, you rate a list of values by how much they matter to your business and pick the behaviors your role needs, such as analytical, diligent or helpful. Candidates then fill out the same survey blind, choosing the values and behaviors that matter most to them.

We compare each candidate’s answers to yours. You can see who shares your values, whose working habits suit the role, and who will add to your culture rather than just fit into it.

Your VA will talk to your customers and write on behalf of your business, so their English has to be strong. We test every candidate at the C1 (Advanced) level of the CEFR, the international standard for measuring language ability.

The test covers four areas: grammar and vocabulary, sentence writing, reading comprehension and listening comprehension.

Candidates who pass speak fluently and naturally without searching for words. They can follow long, complex conversations, pick up on what is implied as well as what is said, and write clear, well-organized emails, reports and other materials that represent your business well.

Our Own Set of Tests

We vet candidates with our own set of tests.

There are never enough hours in the day, and too many of yours probably go to tasks someone else could handle. A great executive assistant takes those off your plate so you can focus on leading your business and serving your clients. The right one becomes a true partner.

For EA roles, we test how well candidates solve problems, manage their time and priorities, and communicate across different situations, whether by email, phone or chat.

Strong scorers are self-starters. They spot issues early, handle them before they reach you, and get things done without creating extra work. They also know how to communicate on your behalf and represent you well as an extension of your team.

For bookkeeping and accounting roles, we test hands-on QuickBooks Online skills, not just familiarity with the software. The test covers four core areas:

  • Setup and lists: company setup, Chart of Accounts, customers and vendors
  • Sales: products and services, invoicing, customer payments and refunds
  • Purchases: vendor bills, expenses, bill payments and refunds
  • Banking and reporting: bank setup, reconciliations, journal entries and reports

Candidates who pass have real, practical QBO experience. They know their way around the system, know which reports to run, and can reconcile accounts so your financial data stays accurate. They’re ready to work in your books as soon as you give them access.

The test doesn’t cover taxes, since tax rules and requirements vary by country.

The Social Media Skill Test Assessment evaluates a candidate’s practical skills in creating, editing, and managing social media content. This assessment helps determine whether candidates have the creative, technical, and strategic abilities required to support a company’s social media presence and marketing objectives.

Social media professionals play an important role in building brand awareness, engaging audiences, and generating leads through compelling and consistent content. They must understand how to create content that aligns with a brand’s identity, communicate effectively through captions and messaging, and adapt their approach to different platforms and target audiences.

The assessment evaluates candidates’ abilities in areas such as content creation, video editing, graphic design, caption writing, content planning, and social media platform knowledge, depending on the requirements of the role. Candidates may also be assessed on their familiarity with tools such as Canva and CapCut, as well as their ability to follow creative briefs and maintain brand consistency.

Candidates who perform well in this assessment demonstrate creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to produce engaging, high-quality content that aligns with the company’s goals. This assessment may be supplemented with a practical skill test to validate the candidate’s ability to execute actual social media tasks.

The Administrative Assistant test evaluates a candidate’s ability to manage administrative responsibilities accurately and efficiently. This assessment helps identify candidates who can provide reliable administrative support, maintain organized workflows, and ensure that daily business operations run smoothly.

Administrative assistants play an essential role in coordinating schedules, organizing documents, managing correspondence, maintaining records, and supporting various operational tasks. They must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines.

The assessment evaluates candidates’ abilities in areas such as organization, time management, attention to detail, written communication, data entry, scheduling, document management, and administrative problem-solving. These skills are essential for ensuring that information is handled accurately, tasks are completed on time, and internal processes remain organized.

Candidates who perform well on this assessment demonstrate strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. They can manage routine administrative responsibilities independently, communicate professionally, and provide consistent support to executives, teams, and clients.
